前一篇Sqigle Earl 说到在国内用的话可能对讲和地图可能会有问题。发了个邮件问了一下，刚刚收到答复：

Due to regulations regarding radio frequencies for consumer two-way radios, different regional editions of Earl are offered. In order to be certified, users will not be allowed access to the radio settings to modify the spectrum’s that Earl uses.

Earl’s mapping system will allow users to load custom vector/rasters/bitmap based maps. Our software is based on open source code and we plan to release more details in the future when we are ready for developers.

地图可能还好，看起来也比较开放，DIY应该也没问题。但是对讲的话可能问题比较大了，频率都是固定死的（因为认证的问题），所以除非他出一个国内版的，要不然对讲就不能用了。

国内免费的20个频道都是409频段的，而美国是462，欧洲446，澳洲476，都不一样，而且功率也有小。
